We have some delicious wines and our beautiful Rechner Recipe book for sale – all the money raised supports the conservation of the cottage
Wines
Living in the Barossa, sharing a glass of wine has historically been an integral part of connecting, providing hospitality and celebrating anything and everything. Our delicious wines come from grapes grown on local Barossa vines, and are lovingly produced by david Franz winery. David produces unique small batch parcels of Barossa wine, hand wrought with passion. Read more at david-franz.com.
(Note: David is the son of Peter and Margaret Lehmann, who were passionate winemakers and also passionate about preserving Barossa history. Following in this tradition, David has generously donated his wine to help support the conservation of the cottage. Which means you can enjoy his wines at half the retail price, and all money goes directly to the cottage).

Tasting Notes
Eden Edge Reisling Semillon Blend 2021
A citrus explosion in a glass! Bold rich structure of ripe lemon/lime curd with a dollop of sorbet. Long on flavour, and rich and supple in the mouth. An excellent candidate for aging but brilliant in the first flush of youth.
2021 Madiera Clone Semillon
Zesty lemon curd pie with a smooth honeyed finish. Balanced fruit and textural mouth weight fill the mouth with the light delicate combination of pure varietals, herbal leaves and yeast complexity. The super light and clean palate lingers on beautifully leaving the mouth ready for the next sip.
2023 Pink Bits Rose
sweet, balanced and utterly PINK! Think Bubblegum, think strawberries think sof pink musk sticks… A generous fruit driven body finishing with a long lingering smear of raspberry sorbet.
2021 Waxing Lyrical Mataro
Round summer red and black fruit interwoven with spicy varietals and great acid balance. Light grippy tannins balance the fruit while firm acid cleanses the mouth for the next sip. Its a Complex and Lithe wine that displays the wonderful potential in this variety and aromatic lightness sometimes missing in wines from the Barossa.
HP Shiraz 2022
Liltingly pure Shiraz in its natural environment bursts seductively over the palate playing ring-a-rosie with a fruit basket of red summer berries. Smooth and curvy like running your tongue along the duco of a super-car is the only way to describe the ridiculously smooth long lingering palate length with velvety soft tanning holding the whole show up.
